Leslie Philbrook

Chief Operating Officer, Business Coaching and Consulting Practice Manager

 

Leslie Philbrook comes to us with over 20 years of experience providing strategic and operational assistance to businesses to maximize productivity and profitability. She oversees the provision of all consulting services to our business clients, and specializes in human resources.

Leslie received a Bachelor's degree in business administration from CAL Poly University, San Luis Obispo, an MBA from Golden Gate University, and is an Accredited Business Communicator (IABC).

Most recently, Leslie earned a certificate as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) awarded by the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). The certification signifies that Leslie possesses the extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field.

Prior to joining InConcert Financial Group, Leslie held management positions in both small and large organiztions:

  • Human Resources and Client Services Director, RAN ONE, an international consulting organization.
  • Benefits consultant and Public Relations Manager, United HealthCare (Public Sector Division), an international health management organization.
  • Regional Director, Contra Costa Health Services Violence and Substance Abuse Prevention program.
  • Human Resource Communications Consultant, Watson Wyatt, a top ten international consulting firm.
  • Management positions in the software development, manufacturing and advertising sectors.

Leslie also formed her own marketing communications consulting firm, NewLeaf Communications, focusing on creative written collateral for small businesses. Her work won several awards, including a Bay Area Film and Video award, a grant from the Just Say No Foundation, and Ei Lilly National Community Health Partnership award for promoting behavioral healthcare for Medicare recipients in San Diego and Seattle.

Leslie has two children, and in her “spare” time is the volunteer Program Director for the Parent Educator Program, a non-profit violence and substance abuse prevention program for at-risk elementary school students. She is also a volunteer soccer coach and PTA Vice President. She is a very active volunteer with The Breast Cancer Fund, helping to organize their annual fundraising dinner and auction. She enjoys sailing, swimming, crafts and American muscle cars!
